Kai Üwe, Canada
Two decades in the I.T. industry has given Kai Uwe an understanding of how humans and robots will interact and evolve together that he did not see in modern science fiction. He believes the correct rank for Star Trek Captains is as follows: Kirk, Picard, Pike, Sisko, Janeway, and that guy in the mechanic’s overalls. Proudly cynical and happily skeptical, he admits he needs to get past being angry at poorly designed machine interfaces. He lives in Calgary, Alberta with his wife and their cat, but no monkey because that’s too much work, apparently.
A. Yasin United Kingdom
Aneesa Yasin is an author living in Yorkshire, the grandest county in the UK. Just a short distance away is Haworth, birthplace of the famous Bronte Sisters. She credits the auspicious location of her residence and a first time reading of ‘Wuthering Heights’ as one of the strongest reasons behind her love of writing growing up. After graduating from the University of York in 2017, she has turned all her energy towards fulfilling her two life long dreams: becoming an author and adopting a dog, a cat and a kangaroo.
Karen lives with her husband Ron and their German Shepherd puppy, Ella, in Oklahoma. The youngest of eight children her passion for reading developed early. Her favourite hideout was in a Mulberry tree on her parent’s farm, with a pillow and a book.
She is the mother of three children, one stepson, two stepdaughters, and twelve grandchildren.
Her love for children led her to being a foster mother to 17 boys over a period of four years and teaching kindergarten classes on Sunday mornings.
